This was estimated Air Mediterranean, which refused boarding Marseille 22 members of the Association of the Deaf of Marseille, in a flight to Turkey, just after the recording of their luggage.

After over an hour of heated discussion in the airport of Marseille-Marignane, the company proposed to transfer to Lyon, where another plane with ad hoc staff would support them. Proposal they rejected, Tinnitus Miracle with “the impression that we took for the mentally retarded” as a near one of the travelers. When the company argues that the disability of these travelers would prevent them to understand or follow the safety instructions, the Minister Roselyne Bachelot solidarity wonders if such arguments should lead to “restrict access to only people on board who speak English or French. ”

His colleague Thierry Mariani, Minister of Transport, he asked the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), to investigate.

The Defender of Rights, successor to the Halde, who took up the case, evaluate whether the company and the charterer Hermès have committed blatant discrimination.
